Our annual event will be held the 11th and 12th of May, 2012.
Showcase Number TWENTY-FOUR is shaping up to be one of the most exciting ever!
Once again, the beautiful Arneson River Theater Stage will provide its unique charm to our event.
Peg Hadley had the idea that the various Texas clogging styles needed to be showcased in a non-workshop, non-competitive environment. In other words, close to 300 cloggers tappin' and havin' fun doin' their thing. That ambitious idea (I thought she was crazy...webmaster) has led to us now presenting close to 500 cloggers each year! Peg started the Showcase while still president of Cadence Cloggers and remained its chairman as it became its own non-profit event.
We will have two performances, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM till whenever. It's continuous entertainment with a Bluegrass band starting each evening with thirty-plus minutes of music. Again this year, the Ledbetter Bluegrass Band will perform both evenings.
Yes, it is a fundraiser with proceeds returning to the performing groups. That's why we charge admission.
